Cocktail Friday ~ Caramel Apple Martini

I am a fruity drink person.

I have tried more “serious” drinks and they aren’t for me.

If there’s fruit in it that’s a start…add an umbrella and we’re set!

So today’s cocktail is just in time for the Halloween weekend.  I am sure that you guys are all invited to costume parties where there will be a Snooki, a Charlie Sheen and a Lady Gaga…

Me?  I’ll be home watching Snooki, Charlie Sheen and Lady Gaga on my television, wishing I had friends that would throw costume parties.

AND I may or may not be sipping one of these yummy cocktails while I’m watching tv.  Ok, I will be.

Because it’s fruity, it’s caramelly and it Halloweeny.

(The fact that I just said weeny was not lost on me)

Here’s what you’ll need:

I also had some of this to rim my glasses…

You should definitely not skip this step…

It’s oh so important.  For your health and all that…

Now mix up your spirits (hehe ~ I’ve been dying to say that) in a shaker along with some ice and strain it into your caramel glass.

Caramel Apple Martini

1 oz vodka

1 oz Sour Apple Pucker

1/2 oz Butterscotch Schnapps

Pour some caramel ice cream topping into a wide mouthed bowl.  Dip the rim of your glass into the caramel.  Set aside, or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Mix your ingredients in a cocktail shaker along with some ice and shake vigorously.

Using a strainer, pour into martini glass.

Garnish with an apple, or a caramel apple wedge.
