{I LOVE} jennjohn handbags

Last year I decided to attend Blissdom, which was going to be my very first blogging conference.  I hadn’t been blogging long (still less than a year) and had yet to buy a good bag for hauling my laptop around.  I knew I would need something cute for the conference, but most of the bags I looked at were super expensive and…well…looked like laptop bags.

My friend Kristen suggested I take a look at jennjohn’s Etsy shop.  She told me that the bags weren’t laptop bags, but they were handmade purses that were large enough for not only a small laptop, but a camera, wallet and a few essentials like lipstick and keys.  After taking a look I decided to contact Jennifer to ask if she could have a bag to me on time and if one of her large bags would fit a 13 inch laptop.  She replied quickly and said yes, she would have it to me in time and it would fit my laptop, no problem.

I ordered this bag:

The Pink Cougar Cosmo

There is a divider sewn in the middle with pockets, which is perfect for holding lipstick and personal items.  My laptop fits on one side of the divider and my camera on the other.  Obviously this bag isn’t meant to hold your laptop while you sling it around and check it with baggage at the airport.  But for carrying your things around without feeling like you’re hauling a bulky case, it’s PERFECT.

The other thing I love is that, unlike a laptop bag, I can use this the rest of the year as a normal purse.  It’s great for long trips and would be FABULOUS for a new mommy gift as a cute alternative to a diaper bag (For $21 extra, Jenn will actually convert one of these to a diaper bag for you, adding fobs for keys and pacifiers, diaper pocket, and elastic pockets for bottles).  Kristen advised me to order a key fob for my bag…it was only a few extra dollars and she swore that it would be life changing.

It was.  I hook my keys on it, and when I leave the store, I know EXACTLY where they are.  No more digging (or combing the store because I got sidetracked and set them somewhere dumb…)

To say that I love this bag would be an understatement.  I’m already planning on ordering a new one for my next trip to Blissdom, but she has so many gorgeous ones that it’s hard to choose.  Here are a few of my favorites:

Raspberry Martini

Candy Apple Martini (this is a small hobo, but she will do any of the small designs as a large if you ask)

Mai Tai Small Hobo  (another small that is also available as a large)

and this bag that I’ve been eying since I bought my last one:

Classy Black Russian  (I love the fabric, isn’t is gorgeous?)

I really cannot say enough about these bags.  I get compliments on mine all the time, and it has plenty of room and pockets and the fabric is pretty and durable.   I hope you love them as much as I do!!

I contacted Jenn prior to this post to let her know that I was pulling a few of her images…and she offered me a Free Shipping Coupon to share with you all!!  Just type CUPCAKE in at check-out and shipping will be on her.

Take a minute to look through her shop, tons of cuteness going on.  Thanks for reading!!

**This is not a compensated post, I just love cute purses.
