Meal Plan– 10/10/11 – 10/14/11

Does your family do that annoying thing where they look  at you every evening with  hungry MOMWHATAREYOUMAKINGMEFORDINNER faces?

Yeah, they do that to us too.

Weird.

It’s like they don’t know how HARD it is to feed people every day.  Sure, Rachel Ray makes it look all simple blah blah blah, but really, there are tons of other steps involved besides having cute hair and a bubbly smile and cooking for 30 minutes.  Like thinking of what to make for dinner, shopping for groceries,  cleaning up the kitchen…it’s a whole big thing.

So we want to help.  We’re just helpful that way.  Every week, we will be posting a meal plan for Monday-Friday.  Of course, you can totally switch it up to suit your tastes but hopefully this is enough to get the ball rolling.

See what good friends we are?  No annoying Hungry Faces.  Just links to dinner recipes we think you might like.

Monday:  Pulled Pork in Slow Cooker (leave BBQ  sauce off until serving)

Double this so you can get two meals.

TuesdayChicken Lo Mein

Wednesday:  Pork Tacos  (using leftover pork from slow cooker)

Buy taco fixings:  Flour tortillas, salsa, cheese, lettuce, sour cream.

ThursdayEasy Parmesan Meatloaf

Serve with green beans, potatoes.

Friday:  Easy Stromboli

Serve with salad.

I hate that question!! That is so hypocritical of me though cuz I ask my husband the same thing. ;) Thanks for some good EASY ideas! Who wants to go home and cook a huge complicated meal after working all day??? Not this lady!

I think I might love you! Thanks for meals that REAL people can make and want to eat. I think I might actually have all of these ingredients, and I have at the very least heard of all the ingredients. YEAH, I think my meal plan for next week is DONE thanks to you guys. ROCK ON.

This is going to help out so much. My bf is kind of a picky eater and I get tired of feeling like I’m always making the same thing. Anything that lets me think else after a day with my 2 year old and 6 months is genius. Thanks for this!

Love this…..I’m one of those organized OCD freak kinda girls and keep a monthly calendar on the fridge of what’s for dinner for the month….Huge help and it cuts down on grocery cost when you plan out your meals. This will be a huge help to people :)

I love planning meals for the week so let me give you my favorite tip. I buy the JUMBO 5 lb. packages of hamburger meat and on Sunday afternoon, while hanging out watching the Vikings stink it up on the football field, I brown all 5lb. ( usually in two skillets to save time). Then I divide it up and freeze it in 1 lb. ziploc bags. When I get home at night I just have to grab one and defrost it in the microwave and can easily make tacos, spaghetti, lasagna or anything else. Happy Blogging!

Usually when I see meal plans online 4 of the 5 days are things my family won’t actually eat. This plan is perfect! Thank you!!!
