Punk Kids {Giveaway} ~ Contest Closed

I know I sound old when I say this, but it’s hard finding things to entertain my kid that don’t involve a screen of some sort.

TV screen.  Video Game Screen.  Computer Screen.  Gah.

I don’t mind any of that in moderation, but I love to encourage creativity.   And one thing I’ve found that my son LOVES is building things.

Last month when I was searching Amazon for a new set of blocks or some type of building set, I came across Snap Circuits.  They had awesome reviews and were a reasonable price, so I decided to give them a go.  And they ended up being Jon David’s favorite gift!!

Snap circuits are color coded wires, switches, and circuits that easily snap together on a grid.  The box comes with a book full of tons of pictures of completed projects.  All your kid has to do is match the colors and pieces and snap them on as indicated.

Some of the projects are a fan, a light, a flying saucer, a police siren, and tons more.  It’s fun and educational (BONUS) and occupies my son forever!!  It’s recommended for age 8 and up, but I’d say anyone from age 7 to infinity old would love these.

And SINCE they’re a favorite toy in my house, I’m giving you a chance to win a set here!!  (They’d make a perfect Christmas gift, no?)

To enter, just leave a comment telling me your favorite childhood toy.

We will be taking entries until Friday, Oct 21st at 11:59 pm.  Winner will be chosen via Random.org and announced here Saturday the 22nd.

CONTEST CLOSED!  The winner is Comment #31, Shandra Lenae who said, “My little pony, Pound Puppies, and Pound Purries. Man you would of thought I’d turn out to bet a veterinarian or something…”

Thank you so much for your support of the new site.  I’d love it if you’d take a second to Like us on Facebook so we can connect there too!!

Good luck and thank you so much for reading!!

**This giveaway is provided by me.  It is not sponsored by wires, electricity, Romi and Michelle (inventors of Post-Its), Amazon.com, or the Snap Circuit company.  Also, I just added Romi and Michelle to see if you’re paying attention.
