It’s Monday.
The kitchen sink is full of the aftermath of weekend football snacks.
The bathrooms look like a bomb went off in the toilets. (No?? Just mine??)
You had to get up early. Like… still a little bit dark out early.
So what better way to wake up and smell the roses than by discussing the merits of our favorite male eye candy? That makes sense, right?
If you read my other blog, you know that I’ve recently become obsessed with Grey’s Anatomy. So I decided that McSteamy and McDreamy would be the perfect candidates for our very first Whatta Man Monday.
The Rules:
Read through the points about both of our featured favorites and carefully weigh the pros and cons. This is an important decision, after all. Then, sound off. Which is YOUR favorite? The winner will be announced at the end of the week and crowned Whatta Man of the Week.
Remember– although your mind may go places that I don’t want to know about (really, I don’t want to know) keep your comments clean and respectful. Your mama didn’t raise you in a barn after all (and if she did, I apologize). New candidates will be announced every Monday, and hopefully it brings a little fun to your mornings!
So here we go. Facing off….
Patrick Dempsey( aka Derrick Shepard aka McDreamy ) VS. Eric Dane (aka Mark Sloan aka McSteamy)
PROS: As Derek Shepard, Patrick is not only extremely good looking, but smart (hellooooo brain surgeon), capable and kind. He’s a romantic man who knows how to love with passion and patience. And he can catch fish, so you’ll never go hungry!!
CON: It’s hard to forget that he was once Ronald Miller.
PROS: As Mark Sloan, Eric is a very talented surgeon. And he has perfected the look known as the smolder. Although he is a womanizer, deep down he is kindhearted and leaves you feeling like you could change him. Probably. And if not, at least you’d have fun trying.
CON: No matter how badly I try, I just can’t forget the whole weird video he and his wife did with a former Miss Teen USA. If you want to Google the whole mess you can, but I decided not to link to it because I don’t want to be responsible for what pops up on your work computer. It’s unclean. Very unclean.
So let’s hear it. Who deserves the crown this week?

Oh, McDreamy since we are choosing between the actors, but if it was about the characters (Grey’s anatomy obsessed person here) I would choose McSteamy. I just love Mark Sloan, and I am a bit angry with Dereck since 8th season.
But the one I love most of all men that are and have been in the show, is Owen Hunt.
I am mad at Dereck too….he needs to STOP BEING A JERK.

McDreamy. Anyone that could put up with Meredith’s crazy behind for as long as he has is a saint in my book! Plus, he’s way freakin’ hot!

McDreamy all the way. Don’t forget ladies, Mark slept with Derricks wife in the very beginning, and they were best friends. That whole “sad little boy” thing is what we all loved about Derrick in the first place. You know you wanted to kiss him and make it all better…..don’t lie you know you did. Also Patrick can play a rockin villain, just saw him in Transformers 3 this weekend. ( I have a 9 yr old).
Don’t even have to think about this one – McDreamy all the way. Having been married to a McSteamy wanna-be, I know there are way too many of them in the world. Give me a faithful man any day – not to mention HOT!!
I gotta vote McDreamy, all the way!!! The first 2 seasons of Grey’s are some of my most loved tv ever. and it’s probably got a lot to do with DcDreamy.
p.s. i stopped watched after season 6. is it worth it to continue?

McDreamy!. I admit I haven’t ever watch Grey’s Anatomy. I waited table for years and was always working during prime TV hours. But with Netflix I really no excuse anymore…maybe it’s time I load my Q with Grey’s?!?!? Dempsey in “Made of Honor” gives me the hope that the ultimate womanizer could change, if he just found the right woman…me for instance.
You’d have no hope of taming McSteamy without McDreamy. Woman need the nice guy to imagine who the bad boy could be.
McSteamy. Going on looks alone here. Oh and Transformers 3. Sorry, McDreamy, but that movie is nothing to be proud of, and it just leaves a sour taste in my mouth looking at you.
I’m going to have to say McSteamy cuz I don’t want to think about their “real” selves….and McDreamy is being a real ass lately! I understand Meredith was wrong, but get over it already or move on!

Oh gosh. I have never seen Grey’s but based on your review, sounds like Steamboat is the winner in looks and DreamyTown is the better guy. I, actually, don’t find Patty all that attractive so I guess if I have to vote based on hotness? STEAMY wins for me, he really has perfected the smolder.

I say McSteamy! I know he tends to be the “player” of the show, but for the past couple of seasons, he seems to be looking for true love and seems sincere about it! I agree with the others, Derek is being a jerk lately.. He should know – more than anyone – that Meredith has issues! Deal with it!
