Accesorize with Watches

I am a self-admitted watch hoarder.  I inherited the trait from my dad, so it’s not my fault.

I presently have too many to count, nor do I have any desire to take inventory of them…seeing the number might be a little scary.

Here’s the thing, though…

I spend money on classic pieces, watches that I will wear for years and years.

I don’t splurge on trendy watches, that’s why I have so many…I shop Target, Wal-Mart and Kohls to name a few for cute and cheap styles.

I’ll start with my one fancy watch…

This watch my husband got for me almost 10 years ago…I love it and have worn it pretty consistently for the last 10 years.  I don’t remember what the price was 10 years ago, but anything over $100 is an investment piece for me…no Cartier around here :)

It’s an ESQ 100 Venture Stainless Steel watch with a mother of pearl face and little diamonds around the face.

Now, here are some of the watches I also wear…cheap and cute…

Target, Teal Polyurethane Bracelet Round Watch.  This one is a fun color for the totally affordable price of $12.99…AND they come in all sorts of fun colors..pink, purple, white…I have many, umm, err…all the colors.  I love them, ok?

I am also kind of obsessed right now with the Men’s line from Swatch called Full Blooded.  Now, I was a Swatch enthusiast back in junior high, but if you take a look at some of their new styles, they are fun and colorful and perfect for everyday…I’m serious!!

For days when I am going to the gym, or just want something a little sportier, I go with my Baby G by Casio.

And for even less you can get some  cute Timex digital watches from Walmart…Like this one…$12 baby!

People seem to love the white watch these days, and this is a great one by Fossil.  You can’t  go wrong with Fossil.

But what a REALLY covet right now is a chunky, boyfriend style gold watch…like this one by Michael Kors

Or this one by Coach...

But they are both a little out of my price range for now.

In the meantime I found this one that’s more affordable…by Armitron

Cute right?

So there you have it, a few of the watches I have and want.

A watch is a useful accessory, that’s totally how I justify it :)

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Fossil watches. Definitely what I consider investment pieces, though. [I may have a full time and part time job, sure, but I also still seem to have the budget of a college student. How did that happen!?]

I have the Fossil watch in silver! I love that the face is big enough that I can actually read it, hah. And I’ve been wanting a “statement” watch for a long time–this one sure fits the bill. :)

I have the absolute hardest time finding watches I really like that aren’t outrageously expensive and that will last or not turn my wrist green. Seriously… I had a watch that did that!

I have that Armitron watch. Got it at Penney’s about 2 years ago when an article said “If you want to have Jennifer Anistion’s style, here is a less expensive version” I guess they were just talking about the Rolex she was wearing and this Armitron as an alternative, because I still am waiting on the sweet tan and size 0 body and hippie chic clothes to appear as well.
O-well, love my $45 Armitron watch (WITH COUPONS :) ) and get compliments on it all the time.
