What’s in Your…? Two Peas in a Pod Edition!

This week’s “What’s in Your” is a really fun one!  We are lucky enough to get a glimpse into the diaper bag of our new favorite mommy, Maria from Two Peas and Their Pod.

Maria is the sweetest and her site is incredible…AND I am slightly jealous that she was such a cute little pregnant girl.  I was one of those with big fat swollen ankles, so anyone who makes pregnancy look so chic gets points in my book.

But now since she has had her little pea, who, might I say is ADORABLE, she is in full mommy mode with the bag to prove it!

So let’s see what she’s got in there…

Hi all-it’s Maria, from Two Peas and Their Pod, and today I am sharing what is in my diaper bag. We had our first baby at the end of September so I am still new to this “mommy gig,” but I am loving every second. Our “little pea” is a sweetheart and so stinkin’ cute. We can’t get enough of him.

Ok, onto the bag..again, I am a new mom, so if I am forgetting to include something important, please let me know:) First of all, don’t you love my Gussy Sews diaper bag? I love that it doesn’t look like a diaper bag. You can still be trendy when hauling around diapers and wipes:)  The bag is spacious, fun, and I love grey and yellow together.

Now for what’s inside…
Starting at the top left: First, we have my nursing cover. This is a must for trips out of the home, nobody needs a boob show, only the baby:)
Next, we have the portable changing pad. You never know where you will be when you need to change a diaper, so it’s best to have the changing pad-I don’t want to lay my baby down just anywhere.
I also pack a clean swaddle blanket. Our little guy likes to be swaddled-he is the cutest baby burrito ever!
In the middle you will see a fancy clutch, just kidding! It is really a wipe case. Cool, huh? I keep my wipes in style:)
I know our baby can’t read yet, but I pack a book anyways. He loves to look at the pictures of the farm animals…and who knows, maybe he will surprise us and start reading any day now.
Below the book are the ultimate must pack item-diapers! Can’t leave home without them! We are Huggies fans:)
Next, is an extra onesie. It is amazing how many times I have to change our little guy’s outfit every day. Not because I am trying to have a fashion show, but because he has quite a few accidents.
I also pack his pacifier, when he starts to get fussy, it is always nice to have around.
I put a toy in the bag for fun. He is too little to really play with it, but he does like the bright colors.
Finally, we have a burp rag for those unexpected spit ups.

Well, there you have it! Our life in a diaper bag. Hopefully, I covered the basics.

Please share what you keep in your diaper bag. I am sure I am forgetting something!

Thanks Maria!  Now, yes, what do you keep in your diaper bag…or if you don’t carry one anymore what was your essential that you never left home without?

Wow so cute! Love it. My first came in July. I use the plain boring black from the hospital. Lame I know. I carry all those things except mine are ugly. So sad. Where did you get that wipes case. So cute! At least I’m not totally pathetic I do have that exact changing mat. Woo hoo there is hope for me.
I double mine as a purse so I add the wallet, keys etc. things I’m always using are hand sanitizer, tide pen and pain meds-My son hates more than anything being in his car seat while im driving so after a long trip their needed.-
I live in the freezing mountains of Utah so i added extra socks for hands and a little hat just in case. Congratulations on your little pea!! Love you blog!

I never leave home without diaper cream. We have A & D and the white stuff too. I don’t carry a change of clothes anymore, my 20 month old likes to let us know when he’s finished his business.

Super cute bag. I wish I could afford one~

That bag rocks! I’m just about done with diapers so I rarely even remember to bring my beat up, dingy bag anywhere. The only thing I’d recommend are some little baggies to put those stinky poop diapers in. The ones at Babies R Us smell like an old ladies perfume(gag) so I’d say just a simple zip lock! Oh, and how about throwing in some of your delicious cookies in case you get hungry:)

I carried all those things as well and a change of clothes for mommy :-) Because usually if baby needed her clothes changed so did I.

Maria, your bag is so cute! I saw it on Confessions of a Cookbook Queens Friday recap and before I read the caption, I thought Two Peas! Haha. I have a 2 year old and a 7 month old, I can’t tell you how awesome those swaddle blankets are. I got them with my second and they are the best! The stick to your clothes a little, so if you ever find yourself without your nursing cover, drape over one shoulder and tuck the other corner into your opposite bra strap. voila! Your wipes case is so cool. I usually thrown everthing in a backpack (so dad will carry it) or my giant black purse, so I feel more lady-like. The one thing I always kept in my bag was hand sanitizer. I’m not a germaphobe, but we have lots of cousins around here and they don’t always wash their hands. Purell makes a sanatizer that has lotion and won’t dry out hands. It works out great too when little man spit out his binky and there isn’t any soap of water around.
