Are you still finishing up your Christmas shopping?
Well hurry because Christmas is going to be here in a blink, y’all!!
I mean that literally. You will blink and it will be Christmas. It sneaks up on you like that.
I took a chance that maybe you needed a few ideas for the tech person in your life and compiled a list of fun electronics.
I love gadgetey stuff, don’t you?!
I’ve actually seen this a lot on Pinterest, and thought it was really cool. You just say what you need and it stores it in this little machine. When you’re ready to go the the store, hit print and you’ve got your list!! How cool is that?
This is a case that fits around an iPad, with old school video game controls. It comes with an Atari Greatest Hits App, so the iPad turns into a game!! Gaming devices for iPads and iPods are really popular this year– the iPad Atari andiPhone pinball are sold out almost everywhere, but there are still some of these Arcade Cabinets for sale, so scoop one up while you can!!
If an iPad 2 is out of your budget, the Kindle Fire is a much more affordable option. I don’t have the Kindle Fire, but I DO have a Nook Color and an iPad 2 and there are things I love/don’t love about both. This looks like a really great compromise between the two. You can read books, and magazines in color, but also browse the web and stream tv and movies from Amazon. It’s smaller than the iPad, so it fits comfortably in your purse. If you have a Prime Membership (I do and it’s worth every penny), tons of shows and movies can be viewed for free!!
There are so many inexpensive alternatives to movie rentals and satellite/cable packages and this Roku box gives you access to all of them. For under $100, this box will stream shows and movies from Hulu Plus, Netflix, Amazon, HBO Go and about 350 other entertainment channels. It also comes with a free version of Angry birds, and a memory card slot for storing games of your own.
If the LeapPad Explorer Tablet was on your list but impossible to get, this is a much more affordable option that is actually AVAILABLE. It’s built like a phone with a QWERTY keyboard, only much bigger and sturdier for little hands. It also has a touchscreen and easy to use controls. There are tons of games you can buy with your child’s favorite cartoon/movie characters like Shrek, Cars, Toy Story and Dora. I bought a bundle for my nephew and for $100 I got the MobiGo, 2 games (Cars 2 and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse) and a carrying case. Not a bad deal.
Yes, the photos are small and not that great of quality. But who cares? This thing looks so fun and would be great for parties or sleepovers or to use for putting cute retro collages of your kids together. In this day and age of digital images that are erased so easily, sometimes a hard copy (like an embarrassing photo of your kids) is handy. Such a fun and unique gift and actually very affordable.
We bought finally bought a Keurig this year, and we LOVE it. I have yet to meet a person who made the switch from a normal coffeemaker who doesn’t love their Keurig. Besides making excellent coffee, tea, or hot chocolate QUICKLY, it’s a nice looking machine and there’s no stained coffeepot staring at you every day. You can’t go wrong with this thing!!
For the movie lover in your life, this set of THREE Mission Impossible Blu Rays is an awesome deal–it’s under $30, which comes to less than $10 per Blu Ray disk. The fourth movie in the installment comes out next week, so the timing is perfect.
All eight Harry Potter movies…for under $80!! So again, less than $10 each. Such a great deal and I’ve loved all of the movies.
In the process of putting this gift guide together, I’ve found a ton of stuff I want for myself, so I’ve obviously got some shopping to do. What electronics are on your list this year?
