DIY Hair Pins

So, ok.

I used to think I was all crafty and such.

I have now found, the older I get, the less crafty I become.

If it can’t be made with super glue and felt, I am most likely never gonna do it.

But here’s the deal.

Fun stuff can be made with super glue and felt. It’s a fact.

Which leads me to these super easy, incredible cheap and totally cute hair pins.

I did branch out a little, subbing our super glue for hot glue and felt for little flowers, stickers and bobby pins.

Here’s the simple process…

You’ll need little embellishments.

Also, your hot glue gun and hair pins.

Here’s a close up of the embellishments I used…tiny metal flowers and some cute sturdy stickers I found at the craft store.

Aren’t they cute?

Just plug in your hot glue gun and get crafting…

Immediately stick your the top of the pin to the hot glue.

Let it set up and you’re done!

I did some cute ones for Valentines too…I just love those glittery little hearts.

And here’s how they look all finished.

A craft that is done in 5 minutes.

Pretty sweet.

Holy cow, THANK YOU for this! I have super short hair and I wear some sort of glittery bobby pin every.stinking.day. I also LOSE one at least once a week, and even the sparkly ones I buy at Walmart can get pricey to replace. I’m making these asap!

This is a cute idea! Not to rain on your parade or anything, but this also works with shanked buttons. Gives it an extra strength also. Simply slip the button onto the bobby pin and glue. Happy crafting!
