What’s In Your…? Family Fresh Cooking Edition!!

Today’s post is from a cute little ball of energy named Marla Meridith. If you’re unfamiliar with Miss Marla, #1 WHO ARE YOU??? and #2 put your party pants on, because this girl is just too stinkin’ fun. Her blog, Family Fresh Cooking, is full of gorgeous photos, and tons of healthy, family friendly recipes. Shelly and I absolutely adore her, and I just know that you will too!!

Hi I’m Marla Meridith & I publish the blog Family Fresh Cooking. Some of us might all ready know each other….some of you might become new friends. Yay! When I was contacted by Shelly and Kristan about this idea to expose my purse (which is really my laptop bag) I got foolishly excited. I mean what better then dumpster diving through your own handbag! Sharing each little nook and cranny with the world wide web.

For a while now I have been online pals with these two ladies, they make me giggle and crave all kinds of sweet treats. You see my blog has a bit more of a healthy, whole food focus. When I visit their blogs they have me swooning and pinning every sugary thing in sight. We recently met for reals at Georgia Pellegrini’s Girl Hunter Weekend. That was a great time! Let’s start the purse tour…

In the outside pocket there is a very important magazine. I need to have eye candy throughout the day…

Before we peek inside the bag let’s understand that I always need to have access to the internet. I just need to. I am grateful that I no longer have to carry a diaper bag and that I have scaled things down to fit in my lovely little stm black bag. It conveniently carries my MacBook Air. And many more things.

Let’s take a look at what’s inside? Some of the things even shocked me….

Notice that pair of kid chopsticks. You never know when the urge to take the kids for sushi is gonna hit. Gotta have the chopsticks.

Besides, I just learned they are a great way for my 5 year old to practice his fine motor skills. Who would have thought!

Things look pretty normal, yes?

My goodness, what is that black wad at the top of the next photo? Not only is it unattractive for composition, but socks? In my computer bag/purse?

They were an emergency pair I had in my bag for a bounce house party I took my kids to. They are now in the wash.

As you can see I have lots of little packets of stevia, some headphones so I can yack on my phone all day, my business cards ~ that very much need an update.

A few more essentials include: spf 60+ sunscreen, Fairmont lip balm, a pen from a blog conference. My iPhone (ESSENTIAL) dental floss, a pink plastic spoon for….

Just in case of an emergency every girl needs not one, but two packs of oatmeal. Just in case…

I am small but I eat a lot. That is why there is a Salty Peanut Pretzel Mojo bar too. Let’s not forget the Scharffen Berger chocolate. That is uplifting and tasty treat. Quite frankly it is nice stirred into the oatmeal.

I happened on some glittery Valentine’s foamy-sparkly sticker hearts that my daughter was crafting with. Also some US postal stamps.

At first glance any lady walking around the OC (where I live) might think I am slumming it with my computer bag at my hip. Without the staple Prada, Chloé or Jimmy Choo one might think I am not in fashion around these parts. Little do they know that whats inside is trés glamourous and colorful too!

The goodies in here all add up to a giant glam bag.

I gotta confess that I no longer carry a real purse. Unless you consider the little purse tucked inside my computer bag my purse. I guess I used to be a bit more into glamour and fashion ~ these days I am not really buying little quilted Dior purse/wallet thingies. But I am happy it is tucked inside my laptop bag!

In it are all of my cards & what not…..

Ahhhhh, there is my beauty…love this little laptop!

Last but not least. Never ever forget the coffee or the gum…
