I have a new Netflix addiction.
It’s the Vampire Diaries.
Ah mah gah, have you SEEN that show?
Well. I’ve been watching it for a week straight and have totally fallen in love with a fake vampire. It’s disgusting. I’m a 32 year old housewife who is too old, boring and attached to be dreaming about some barely adult blood sucker.
But in the hopes that you’ll side with me, and assure me that I’m not a total freak, I am pitting the two hotties against each other this week.
(Btw–Justin won by just a few votes last week…it was a near tie!!)
Damon Salvadore vs Stefan Salvatore
I’m only at the end of the first season (so don’t give anything away) but if you’re not familiar with the show, Damon and Stefan are vampire brothers who are in love with the same girl.
I, for one, am CERTAINLY not jealous of that girl. AT. ALL.
Sigh.
Both boys are from the olden days, so they’re good at all the old fashioned dances, which is just too romantic. The scene on the left with Damon was my favorite all season.
But of course, they are real life people too. I might have an immature crush, but I understand that they are actors and not actual vampires. Let’s take a look at their normal selves, shall we?

Both men pull off the shirt and tie combo with ease. They’re all “hey, I might be dressed sort of fancy, but it’s no big deal”.

TVD is one of my favorite shows. I’ve watched since the first episode after reading the books (SO totally different by the way…). So excited to see it getting some love!

In the show, I’m a Stefan fan, but based solely on looks, I’m all about Damon. He was on a show called Young Americans that was on the WB when I was in high school and i’ve had a crush on him ever since. Even when he was whiny Boone on Lost…

As to which is my favorite, I’ve gone back and forth. They are both insanely hot, I wouldn’t want either of them to go away. I’ve also heard from more than a few sources that the girl playing Elena/Katerina is supposed to be real down-to-earth and friendly, which makes the show even more a favorite for me
I am in love with both of the Salvatore brothers but if I had to choose it would be Damon. The way he smolders makes me swoon…

I too am a 32 year old-too attached-mom of 4 that has no business ignoring the children (kidding everyone) while watching TVD on Netflix over and over and…oh anyway lol I love both the Salvatore boys…but Damon owns the piece of my heart reserved for fictional characters (Special Agent Seeley Booth, Angel, Spike…you see a theme here…vampires and David Boreanaz…hehe)…I mean just look at those EYES!!! I love the things he can do with those eyes…

I don’t know how far you are but I am a Tyler fan 100%. He gets my love any day. And please feel no shame – I am 30 and I am the same way. After you are done with this series watch – BEING HUMAN on netflix. That is my newest addiction.

I have The Vampire Diaries on my Netflix list. I’ve been into vampires since I started reading Anne Rice in 4th grade. I’ll check out any vampire book/show at least twice before I decide. Do you watch Being Human? LOVE IT!! Oh and I vote for Stefan. He had my vote from the first picture, but the open shirt sealed the deal. Let’s see if I still like him as much once I start watching the show.

Uhhh….I was dreading the day you pitted these two against each other!!! I adore this show (it’s what Twilight SHOULD have been), and I have such a hard time deciding which is sexier. Stefan reminds me of my husband in looks and personality, but Damon….ugh he just makes me drool!!! Also, I enjoy watching his character more. So… give me a minute…… Yeah, ok, Damon wins.

After last week’s episode I’m actually back on Stefan. It fluctuates, but he actually seems like he has feelings again, so I’m going with Stefan.

Holy Cow I agree… Klaus, though the most evil person in the world, is winning me over these last few episodes and is drop dead gorgeous… and Elijah is pretty sweet on the eyes as well… This show has way to many hot boys to count…

I like you even more now that you watch Vampire Diaries. I discovered this last summer and promptly stopped living a productive life until I was completely caught up. I like to ‘bank’ my episodes and watch 3 or 4 in a row that I have DVR’d so I have to sadly miss many comments until then. BTW – Stefan all the way. I think it’s the hair… (and Elena in the books is NOTHING like she is on the show so I read the first one and — meh)

I found The Vampire Diaries on Netflix a couple of months ago and became equally as obsessed. Then my friend did the same and now we obsess about it together. What I wouldn’t do to be alone in a room with Damon and Stefan. Mmm… Wait until you watch season three, not only do they add like a ton of other hot guys to the show, it just gets more and more crazy!

I started out a huge Stefan-ite (although Damon’s eyes always draw me in), but the more and more deeper we get in the series, the more I go over to Damon’s side. I agree with the others above that the books are sooo totally, well, wrong – LOL!

I’m a married 25-year old and my husband has learned to put up with my dreamy vampire talk and he has gotten very good at ignoring my teenage-girlish screams and squeals as I rewind the scenes that make me MELT!!! You need to get on watching honey so you can get caught up. You think it’s good right now? It just keeps getting better. I can’t count the times that I have googled the name “Damon Salvatore” before I realized he actually has a real life name… Ian Somerhalder… still super sexy. There are so many naughty things that I would like to do to those two boys… O….M….G!
I am one of those that start watching the TVD when it was already in S3, and mainly because of my sister, who is a Damon fan, so in order to go against her heart, I chose to like Stefan instead, even if I haven’t seen the show.
So, I decided to give the show a chance and I started to watch it. My heart was completely right. Damon is really hot, no doubt about that, but Stefan(Paul) has this look that won me over, this kind of romantic soul, his expression and his awesome voice…….
So, summing up, team Stefan for me…

Okay…as a 47!!!, yes, 47 year old woman, I can say that I have not missed a single episode of Vampire Diaries since they premiered! Because I DVR every week and watch the next morning while having my coffee. Such a delicious way to start the day! And I am a bad boy fan with Damon. FYI – my 23 year old daughter thinks I am nuts and never watches it! LOL. Shows what she knows…
Oh Damon definitely gets my vote and i am with you on the addiction i watched the first two seasons in a week (because im a student and can flake off responsibilities to watch tv all day) and now have started rationing the episodes so i dont finish it too quickly! can you say obsessed!!!
