Easy Heart Nail Design

Ok, this is almost too easy to qualify an entire “how-to” post.

But you know what?  I’m gonna do it anyway.

Because I like to play around with my nails, but am by no means that great at it..I want you to know this is totally easy and do-able.

Just paint your nails any color you like.  I chose my all-time favorite red, Essie “Scarlett O’Hara”.

I painted my nails and let them dry completely.

Then I chose an accent color…I used Sally Hansen “Blue Me Away”.

Just take a piece of scotch tape…

And fold it in half and cut a small heart…

Press it gently on your dry nail…

Paint a coat of your accent color over the stencil…

Peel it off and voila!!

Let it dry and finish with a top clear coat!

Can’t wait to do this in other patterns and with other colors :)

Do you let it dry before you peel the tape? My daughter has some nail stencils and we’ve never had any luck. The polish always smears. Thanks! This looks cute!

NO, I peeled it off when it was still wet…Just did it very very carefully.
I think the trick is to not make it too thick when you are stenciling!
