My Pregnancy Essentials

Hey guys!!

As most of you probably know, I am nearing the end of my pregnancy.  And while I couldn’t be more THRILLED about that, I also couldn’t be more uncomfortable.

Fatigue, heartburn, bad skin, and general ROUNDNESS has reared it’s ugly head…and because of that, certain products have become essential in getting me through the last month.  So if you’re pregnant, going to be pregnant, or even NOT pregnant but just love good stuff, I’m sharing my favorite things to look and feel good!!

1.  Pure Body tank tops by Gap Body

I cannot say enough good things about these tank tops — I probably own a dozen of them.  They’re lightweight, so they’re perfect for layering under a cardigan, and they fit like a glove.  I bought some at the very beginning of my pregnancy when tops were starting to get snug, and they still fit at the end of my third trimester.  These will make great undershirts postpartum too…the side ruching makes them super flattering.  I can dress these up with a maxi skirt and a cute cardigan, or down with a pair of yoga pants and a hoodie.  LOVE them!!

2.  Tums Freshers Antacids

I hate antacids.  HAAAAATE.  But for the last month or so, even a daily heartburn pill doesn’t stop certain foods and drinks from building a fire in my chest.  These antacids are perfect for when you need something right after a meal — and they aren’t chalky and gross!!  They taste just like a breath mint and come in a cute little container that fits right in your purse.

3.  Women’s Chaia Slipper — Leopard

These sequined leopard slippers are perfect for slipping on swollen feet…and they’re fur lined so they feel extra cozy.  They have a hard rubber sole, which is perfect for mornings when I drive my son to school…and I can wear them to the hospital when baby is coming!!  They’re only $20 at Target, or online at

4.  Aladdin 18 oz Water Vessel

I am thirsty ALLLL the time.  And stopping to buy a soda or water gets expensive.  This water bottle is PERFECT for bringing a drink with me while I run errands.  It’s insulated, holds a nice amount, and the clear part on top screws off so I can easily add ice and fill it up.  I bought mine at Target, but you could also buy it HERE.

5.  True Blue Spa Super Rich Body Cream in Vanilla Almond

Besides feeling a little gross and uncomfortable in general, the changing seasons and pregnancy are wreaking havoc on my skin.  This lotion is so RICH, a little goes a long way.  It takes a few minutes to soak in, but when it does, your skin feels so good and moisturized.  It also has a great scent that I love.

6.  Erin Condren Address Book

I have struggled with keeping a planner for years, until Shelly bought me an Erin Condren planner this Spring.  It’s great for keeping track of all my prenatal appointments and anything else that pregnancy brain is likely to make me forget.  What I DIDN’T know was that Erin Condren also makes Address Books!!  With all the baby gifts from friends and family, I need to have all my addresses handy and up to date, so I ordered a new address book to start fresh (am I the only one whose address book is half full of old/incorrect addresses?).  Erin Condren Address Books also have a calendar to keep track of birthdays and anniversaries.  Her products are a little expensive, but I love them and I love that I actually USE them, so they are worth it to me.

7.  Aerie Slim Gym Skinny Pant

I have reached the point in my pregnancy where I’ve outgrown even a lot of my maternity clothes…but with about a month left, I don’t want to spend tons of money on more clothes I won’t wear again.  These skinny yoga pants by Aerie are inexpensive (under $20) and they aren’t maternity, so I can wear them afterwards!!  The leggings fit my legs pefectly, but the yoga top unfolds and covers my pregnant belly — no sliding down.  I can dress them up with a cute sweater or long top, or down with a hoodie or long t-shirt.  They’re so comfortable, I practically live in these right now.

8.  Dr. Jart + Water Fuse Water – Max Sleeping Mask

My complexion hasn’t been the best lately — and this mask has worked wonders on it.  It’s expensive ($48) but you only need a tiny bit, so it will last a really long time.  Just put moisturizer on before bed, then this mask cream on over it.  It works while you sleep to seal in moisture.  It will also be great for sleepless nights post-baby.

These are my must haves for now, and many of them will continue to be must haves once Lucy arrives.
