Oh, it’s officially time for the cozy.
This is the perfect snuggly drink…
Chocolatey, warm and boozy.
Spiked Hot Chocolate
4 cups milk
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
6 – 8 Tbsp brandy or bourbon
12 oz semi sweet chocolate chips
*optional whipped cream for topping
In 2 qt saucepan combine milk, cinnamon and nutmeg. Heat over medium low for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Do not let mixture boil.
Turn temp down to low and add in chocolate, whisking until chocolate is melted. Continue to cook on low for 10 minutes stirring occasionally Remove from heat and all brandy or bourbon. Stir to combine. Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream, if desired.
