This Week in Pop Culture ~ 12/13

This week was a snoozefest in Celebrity world.

No major drama.

No major antics.

Which I guess is good for them, but it makes writing this article a little tough.

But I’m gonna work with what I’ve got..sound good?

First up, we get our first peek at Drew Barrymore’s little baby Olive!  So so happy for her!

In other baby news, it seems as though Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen welcomed a daughter too.

It was reported she did it at home..I am sure without any medication and it was the easiest thing ever for her.  Sorry, did I sound bitter?

Anyway, this is the only photo released so far, and they named the baby girl Vivian.  I am sure she didn’t gain one pound during her pregnancy and will be walking on a runway in a bikini tomorrow.  Again, I’m really not bitter.

In other baby news, Jenna Bush Hager announced on the Today show that she is expecting a little one in the Spring.  President Bush called in with Mrs. Bush and they really sounded thrilled to have a little grandbaby.  Very sweet!

In completely irrelevant news (this is how desperate I was this week) Brooke Muller is now back in rehab for the 400th time.  I’m thinking this time will work for her.

Honestly, let’s do hope she can get her act together…she has 2 little boys, whose dad is Charlie Sheen.  These kids need all the help they can get.

Oh, and apparently classy ladies go sans underwear too…it’s not just the Paris Hilton’s and Lindsay Lohan’s of the world.

1355236770_anne-hathaway-articleAnne Hathaway was photographed getting out of her limo in a *ahem* “vulnerable” moment.

I personally thought it was hilarious.  Seriously ladies. WEAR UNDERWEAR!!!!!

Brandi Glanville and Leann Rimes are still at it this week too…

300.bran.leann.lc.032111They both need a medal for keeping themselves relevant…it’s really quite an amazing feat.

Leann did an interview with E!News (that I watched of course) where she sat and talked for an hour about how she is consistently bullied and blah blah blahhhhh.  Anyway, Brandi got all bent out of shape that her kids were featured in the interview.  I guess I understand, considering that are apparently not allowed to be in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, even in the background.

I tend to side with Brandi on this one.  If Leann really wanted people to leave her alone, she would stop tweeting, stop giving interviews and just go live her life.  I get she’s a singer, but plenty of singers, especially Country singers, seem to live quite normal lives away from the public eye.   No one cares about Eddie Cibrian…I’m pretty sure that’s a true fact.

Also this week, Barbara Walters revealed her “Most Fascinating” of 2012.  This year’s MOST fascinating is General Petraeus.  I suppose I agree with this.  The rest of the list included Gov Chris Christie, Ben Affleck, Honey Boo Boo, and One Direction…

In some fun news the year’s Golden Globes were announced this morning…

logo_Golden_Globe_Awards_gold-650x366Leading the list of nominated films are Lincoln, Django Unchained, Argo and Silver Linings Playbook.

I, unfortunately, haven’t seen any of these movies…

Big news on the movie front this weekend is the opening of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

97860

This prequel to The Lord of the Rings trilogy follows Bilbo Baggins, an upstanding member of the “little people,” on the hazardous journey with Gandalf the Grey. Together with 13 fortune-seeking dwarves, Bilbo Baggins will be swept out his door and into a dangerous but grand adventure through the Lonely Mountains, where he must contend against all manner of enemies, from dragons, to giant spiders, hostile elves, ravenous wolves, and – perhaps the most perilous of all – a subterranean creature named Gollum from whom Bilbo wins a magical ring (the ring that rules them all) in a riddling contest!

    Kelly says:

I LOVE Anne Hathaway, but you were right on! Also? Did she NEED to go panty-less? Her dress sorta looks like a very covering sheathy thing…but those SHOES are like a Dominatrix gone sideways…so perhaps the “no panties” was to fit the shoes.
