While I still collect my thoughts over Nathan Fillion’s win for Whatta Man 2012 I have decided I must move on.
Because now 2013 is here, with a whole new crop of men to objectify.
Last week Matthew won on our Downton Abbey Edition. I’m probably the only person left not to watch that darn show…so I will hold my opinion until I get the chance!
You see while I could have been catching up on Downton Abbey, I wasn’t. I was catching up on Homeland.
Do you watch? I freaking love it.
Love. It.
The husband and I watched both seasons in less than 2 weeks, and since it’s not a kid-appropriate show we only were able to turn it on after 8:00 every night. Which means we watched about 3 episodes every night until we were done.
And now I have no idea what I am going to do until Season 3 starts later this year. Sigh.
So in the meantime let’s discuss the men of the show.
Quinn vs Brody
aka Rupert Friend vs Damian Lewis
Quinn didn’t really get into the show until Season 2…but thank goodness he did. Love him.
For those of you who haven’t watched, Brody (Damian Lewis) is a Marine who was a POW for 8 years in Afghanistan. He has returned home and has potentially been “turned”…meaning he is now possibly a terrorist working against the US.
The show has lots of different twists and turns, but today we’re just gonna talk about hotness…kay?
Both guys are Brits in real life…
They pull off the casual suit quite well, you think?

Apparently Rupert Friend (Quinn) is dating Keira Knightly in real life. Cute couple 
Very intense, gentlemen. I guess when you are fighting terrorists or are a potential terrorist, you need to learn the art of the stare down.

Well…I don’t watch the show, but I have to go with Rupert Friend. I like Damian’s eyes and smile well enough, but something about the red hair turns me off…I am not against red heads I just don’t like it on him.
Keira is actually engaged to a musician right now. She dated Rupert a while ago.
I’m pretty crazy about Damian myself.
Damian Lewis! I first fell for him in Band of Brothers and he is still excellent now.

I don’t think either of these guys looks that good but if I had to pick one, I’d pick Rupert Friend. I think Damian Lewis’ chin is too pointy. I hate it; it looks like his head is an upside down teardrop.
Obsessed for sure. Ok, you have to google Anne Hathaways snl skit of homeland. Hilarious.
Oh, and Rupert. Damien has a lot of nasal noise…

I was just saying to my husband the other day that Brody is a major loud breather! hilarious.
Damian Lewis. We rewatch Band of Brothers once a year and he’s one of my many crushes from that series (so please, never do a Whatta Man for Band of Brothers – my head might explode!)
