Make Up Favorites For Spring

Hey guys!

Wanted to pop in and share some of my latest favorites for the Spring!

Some of these might be overlaps from previous lists, but hey, that’s the sign of a good product, right?

Plus, I am currently on a make-up spending freeze…so I need to make my latest purchases last.

Here are some that will be perfect for the Spring into Summer…

Let’s start with skincare.

I am currently using this Gentle Foaming Cleanser by Clarins…I am a long-time Clarins user.  Their stuff is always great.

Also I am LOVING this Microdermabrasion Refine Scrub from Mary Kay.  I use it 2-3 times a week and my skin looks great and is so soft.

Also, I am big on serums…and this one is my latest favorite from SkinCeuticals.  It’s a Vitamin C serum and has really brightened my skin since I’ve been using it.  Plus it’s not too strong on my sensitive skin.  That’s the one issue I have found with Vitamin C serums.  This one works great for me.

A great day moisturizer is Mac Strobe Cream.  It’s a light moisturizer that illuminates your skin without being glittery.  Use it alone or even mix with your favorite foundation to create a tinted moisturizer.

I also LOVE LOVE this Aveda Botanical Kinetics Hydrating Lotion.  I bought it on a whim, and it is now indispensable in my daily routine.

Here’s my latest favorite BB Cream…Dr. Jardt Black Label.  I have heard from some that it’s too “oily”, but I don’t find it oily or greasy…I have combination skin.  The only down side is that it only comes in one color, but it’s a medium-light shade and for me it’s perfect.

I’ve been loving this Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer.  I’ve tried a number of concealers lately, mainly for under-eye circles and this is my current favorite.  Luckily it’s fairly inexpensive!

Kristan is loving this Porefection Lorac Setting powder.  You can use it alone with concealer for light coverage, or layer it over your foundation to set and minimize your pores.

A long-time favorite on mine and Kristan’s is Too Faced Snow Bunny.  It’s a great illuminator/bronzer.  If you have dark skin it will work more like an illuminator, as it’s light, but I love it and use it every single day.

So eyeliner is a fun place to start when playing with some of the fun eye colors we are seeing a lot for spring and summer…Urban Decay makes my favorite eyeliners and they come in a trillion colors.  This one in “Junkie” is my latest favorite..it’s a shimmery teal.

If you are feeling bolder and want to try the color on your lids, this eye palette from Lancome in “Vert Tendresse” is so great.  Lancome has some really great eye palettes right now!

If you really aren’t into all the colors this Boudoir Eye Palette from Too Faced is a favorite of both mine and Kristans.  Some really great, soft neutrals that can easily go from day to night.

A recent splurge I made is this Chanel Illusion D’Ombre in Fantasme #81.  Ok y’all..I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. LOVE.  It’s this highly pigmented pearly shimmer.  I layer it over my eye shadow at night and it’s so pretty… or use it alone for a shimmery light lid.

A girlfriend of mine had it and every time she wore it I couldn’t stop staring…They have lots of colors, but I only use the #81 Fantasme.  It will last you for infinity too because you will only need a little bit.  If you don’t get anything else from this list, this in the one you need.

And while we’re talking Chanel I have found my favorite new mascara.  It’s Le Volume De Chanel.  I’ve been using it now for about 3 weeks and don’t know if I can ever use another.  It’s thick and volumizing…so if you’re into “natural” lashes this isn’t for you.  But if you are a mascara layerer like me, give it a try!

And for my nails I am LOVING the new Resort Collection from Essie…the colors are all so fun!

So there you have it..all my latest favorites!

It’s an addiction, I tell you.

I have… I’ve used one by Urban Decay Setting Spray called All Nighter. I don’t love it, and don’t really see a huge difference when I use it…BUT I do like the little bit of moisture it adds at the end of my make up!

Hi! I am interested in the Chanel eyeshadow and since you are using it I have a question for you: can it be used as a highlighter for the inner corner or does the texture create some problems with that? Thanks if you can let me know… Lidia
