Cocktail Friday — Caramel Apple Frappe

Happy Friday, everyone!!

Sooo…I don’t know if you’ve heard, but Starbucks supposedly has a “secret menu”, off of which you can order a Caramel Apple Frappuccino.

I don’t frequent Starbucks (it’s on the other side of town and I’m not a coffee drinker) but I saw a Caramel Apple “Frappe” advertised at the Books a Million coffee shop when I was book shopping with the kiddos.

It essentially looked like a milkshake and was coffee-free, so I decided to give it a whirl.

It was amazing.  AMAZING.  I kept doing that weird thing where I was trying to force my son to try it (it’s SO GOOD, just one sip, TRY ONE SIP) but he was having none of it.

Trust me when I say he missed out.  It was quite possibly on of the best beverages I’ve ever tasted.

So, needless to say, I needed to recreate it at home.

You’re welcome.

2/3 cup apple juice

1/2 cup heavy cream

4 TBS Dulce De Leche

1/8 tsp cinnamon

1 1/2 cups crushed ice

Whipped cream and caramel syrup for garnish

Blend all ingredients in blender until smooth.  Top with whipped cream and caramel syrup.

You guys…this is so good.  Crazy, amazing, good.

Also…it could most likely be spiked with vanilla vodka.  Just a thought.

Enjoy and have a great weekend!!

I have all of those ingredients in my kitchen. I just bought apple juice, which we wouldn’t usually have in the fridge, so I could make my version of Starbucks hot caramel apple cider. Looks like I’ll also have to try it iced…Poor me.
