This Week in Pop Culture… 1/17

Happy Friday, everyone!!

Sadly, it was a fairly slow week in celebrityville, if you can’t tell by all the attention the Bieber egg throwing incident is getting.  But let’s review the few things that DID happen (including Oscar nominations, yay!!):

linneyLaura Linney gave birth to a baby boy!!

Apparently she has a life outside answering her phone on Love, Actually and announcing Masterpiece Classics before Downton.  Who knew?  Can’t wait to see the sweet baby!!

gwenIt’s a BOY!!  Gwen Stefani made the announcement via Instagram with this super cute photo.  We know she makes adorable little guys, so I can’t wait to meet him!!

And the video I cannot stop replaying and reveling in it’s awkward glory…

If you have not watched the clip of Kate Gosselin and her twin daughters on the Today Show, go.  GO NOW.  It’s is seriously one of the most hilarious and cringe inducing interviews of all time.  The girls are CLEARLY being forced to be there, and Kate is clearly about to explode.  Love it.

    Shelby says:

Oh my gosh. I heard that there was an awkward interview but hadn’t seen it. I checked out that clip. I don’t even know what to say. Those poor girls :(

  2. 2
    Dora says:

“Maddie, your words.” while snapping her fingers – not the greatest snapshot of her mothering style. Doesn’t exactly make her sound like a sweetheart. And the look from Kara (sp?) could melt steel. Something tells me these girls could care less about letting people know “they’re OK”. I hope it was just a case of nerves and shyness and they’re not as unhappy as they seem.
